Wizard Ball Plug by Ultimate Bowling Products is such an amazing
product that when wanting to talk about, it is difficult to know
where to begin. It is the only reliable quick set plug available.
It is a "true" urethane material that is easy to work
and has an incredible feel.
The process goes like this: plug the fingers, wait 10 minutes,
roll the ball up and plug the thumb, wait 10 minutes, roll the
ball over and plug the weight hole, wait 1 hour, knock the plugs
down, lay the ball out and start drilling.
There is no need to have your bench tied up for 3 days, when
in less than 2 hours you can be preparing a "service ticket."
Spend more time earning money, less time waiting for the plug
Besides, epoxy based materials are always shrinking and cracking
under the stresses associated with life in a bowling ball. How
many times have your customers asked you to do it again when the
plug starts cracking? Wizard doesn't do that!
Now, if you're the creative type and you like the idea of increasing
profits: use Wizard Ball Plug in combination with our Wizard
Mold Kit or Donkee Mold Kit. Produce your own solids and thumb
inserts. Why spend $2.50 - $3.50, plus freight, for urethane solids
when you can make your own for not much more than $1.00 each?
With our Donkee Mold Kit, you can produce "round"
and "oval" inserts to size for way less than $1.00 each.
No large investment and no lost wall space inventorying each of
the colors, in each of the sizes: simply make them as you need
You know how there is always plug material left in your mixing
cup after plugging a hole? You generally throw it in the trash:
right? When you use Wizard Ball Plug you simply poor that "left-over"
material into a mold and turn your "trash" into "cash."
... But wait - there's more! And it really,
really, works! ...
If you are doing custom thumbs and not using Wizard to
produce the thumb insert, you are missing another great opportunity.
By filling the space between the rubber mold and the cylinder
with Wizard Ball Plug your custom thumb is ready in less
than an hour and gives your bowler the truly great feel that only
If you are not into saving a lot of money but do like saving
some money, you can still get the workability and feel of Wizard's
material because we make and sell solids. For a lot less
than you are paying the other folks, you can still win with
Wizard! Solids are produced in: white, black, blue, yellow,
and green, in each diameter of 1 1/8, 1 ¼ & 1 3/8.
Ultimate success in service work begins and
ends with Ultimate Wizard Ball Plug.
Our WizColors are not dyes but rather actual color pigment. Influencing
the coloring of urethane is different from epoxy. When no color
pigment was added to earlier versions of Wizard, it cured to a
"yellowish" shade of white making it difficult to color
match lighter balls.. Since we completely re-engineered Wizard
the summer of 2010, it now cures to a bright white. Now, with
a little practice color matching (even polyester balls) can be
WizColors are in full, one ounce bottles. The kit contains: white,
black, brown, magenta, teal, red, blue, green, purple, yellow,
orange and silver pearl. The silver pearl is currently in a powder
form. Any color may be purchased individually.
Apply color(s) and throughly mix into part "b" then
add part "a," stir a few seconds and pour. Normally
12 drops of a single color or 12 total drops of combinations of
colors will be all that is needed to achieve your desired color.
When Donkey was willing to sell their slug mold kit, it was only
natural that Ultimate Bowling Products would be willing to buy
it. Ultimate's Donkee Insert Molding Kit, in combination
with Ultimate Wizard Ball Plug forms a mighty effective
alliance in lowering pro shop costs and increasing pro shop profits.
Anytime you lower cost, you increase the bottom line of your income
With this kit you can produce your own 1 3/8, 1 ¼,
1 1/8 urethane solids, as well as, oval urethane slug inserts
in the following sizes: 21/32, 11/16, ¾, 25/32, 13/16,
27/32, 7/8, 29/32, 15/16, 31/32, 63/64, 1, 1 1/64, 1 1/32 and
round urethane slug inserts of: ¾, 25/32, 13/16, 27/32,
7/8, 29/32, 15/16, 31/32, 63/64, 1, 1 1/32, 1 1/16, 1 1/32, and
There are 12, color-coded, molding cylinders: 4) 1 1/8, 4) 1
¼, 4) 1 3/8, 2) cylinder end-caps for making solids, and
2) mold release rings. All 45 pieces are organized and contained
in a single storage box.
You are fully aware of the "ever" rising costs of
manufactured solids then add some freight expense. "Solid
logic" would dictate taking very little effort and producing
you own solids for around $1.00 each.
When you buy solids, you pay for the whole thing but you end
up using such a small portion of it. Most of what you bought goes
in the shop-vac as you drill the hole. Most of what you are buying
ends up as trash. If you are looking for "solid logic,"
you won't find it there!
With the Ultimate Donkey Mold Kit, when you need a
hole in an insert, make the insert with the hole all ready there.
No waste! "Solid logic."

Our Wizard Slug Mold is a 3 cell mold for producing your own
urethane solids with Wizard Ball Plug. Each mold can produce 1
to 3 slugs at a time. It is a two piece mold, so the bottom piece
is easily removed which allows for easy extraction of the cured
The molds are available in four different varieties. Either all
3 cells in 1 1/8" or all 3 cells in 1 1/4" or all 3
cells in 1 3/8" or the 3 cells are each a different size:
1 in 1 1/8", 1 in 1 1/4" and 1 in 1 3/8".
Think about the ability to eliminate all the slug inventory you
have in drawers and displayed on the walls of your shop. If you
need a 1 1/8" slug in yellow, just make it yourself and save
a couple of dollars. Take that "couple of dollars" times,
the number of slugs you go through a year will amount to a pretty
large chunk on money.
Here's something else to ponder: each time you plug a ball you
have plug left over in your mixing cup which generally cures in
the cup and goes in the trash. With a little practice you'll learn
by looking at that left-over material what size slug you can make.
Instead of going into the trash, you now have something that you
can sell for 10, 12, or 15 bucks.
Making your own slugs doesn't require a lot of effort but
it sure does a lot to increase profits!
